CAMERA VERITE’ di Victor Spinelli
Marzo 2011
Victor Spinelli is one of Ibiza’s most celebrated photographers. With two books under his belt – ‘Manumission Reflections’ and ‘Camera Verité’ – not to mention publishing credits that range from Newsweek and National Geographic Traveller to Cosmo and Playboy, the list of his achievements is as long as it is credible.
Born in White Plains, New York, Victor has split the last 15 years between the Mediterranean, California and his birthplace. He has become a multi media artist, working on films, commercials, documentaries and music videos as well as numerous print campaigns. He spent three summers in Greec, working and living in Mykonos before the lure of Spain and Ibiza in particular became too great.
His first book, ‘Manumission Reflections’ caught the eye of many high profile people, from Pacha Director Danny Whittle, who described it as “the best photographic work to come out of Ibiza in 10 years”, to celebrated writer/ director Quentin Tarantino. Nowadays he can be found in Ibiza where his ability to capture a moment through his lens has seen him become one of the island’s finest photographers.
